The Niagra Falls Reporter has published a well-written open letter to Rep. Louise Slaughter, asking her to investigate:
. . . how a partisan political organization and an individual with no credentials as a reporter -- and apparently operating under an assumed name -- landed a coveted spot in the White House press corps."
I guess I shouldn't be surprised that the rightwing corporate media is ignoring the unfolding Jeff Gannon scandal . . . the optimist in me hopes that they're just fact-checking the heck out of the story, but the realist in me is pretty sure we'll hear a hundred stories about Amber Frey before we'll hear a peep about Jeff Gannon on any major network or cable news outlets.

Update [2005-2-9 1:38:6 by CleverNickName]: I didn't realize that this had already been diaried before I posted it (searched for Gannon and everything) so I was going to delete it, but there are some very good comments here, so I'll leave it unless I'm smacked around with a stick about the head and neck area.
