Newsday says"The Daily Mirror newspaper apologized Friday for publishing faked photographs of alleged abuse of Iraqi prisoners by British forces, and the editor stepped down."
It's appalling to me that the Daily Mirror has more ethics and accountability than my own government. An editor does the right thing by stepping down over faked photos, yet our Secretary of Defense, who claims that he takes full responsibility for the torture at Abu Ghraib, won't resign, and has the nerve to tell soldiers who are in the line of fire daily, "I'm a survivor."
Incredible. Simply incredible.
